Show Ruminatin $ Roundabout .? i In which Ruminator proposes to dream a lot, thing as little as necessary, scatter a few bouquets bou-quets while their objectives are still above the sod to enjoy them, and fire a hot-shot now and then while said Ruminator Ruminat-or can enjoy seeing the sparks fly. Some two years ago, but for aroused public feeling, it looked like the Japs might take over the Milford valley. Now, safely by this danger, or so it seems, it would appear that there is danger of dogs taking over the town! Big dogs, little dogs, dogs of supposedly high pedigree and plain mongrels! During the past week they have been traveling in packs, day and night, and from one end of town to another, though seemingly seem-ingly to congregate more often in the north part of town. And, we'll wager some of Chester Bowles' post-election Christmas gifts, (cancelled ration stamps remember, don't you ? ) against a small bale of kraut or skitlbie currency, that not a third of said dogs bear license tags! Any takers? Some local wit, whose name we don't recall, a few days ago is said to have expressed the hope that next winter soon would come Then he would know that this winter really was over! V |
