Show CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "Mortals and Immortals" is the subject of the lesson-sermon to be read by the Christian Science Society So-ciety in Milford Sunday, May 15. Among the citations from the Bible are the following: "This i say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness" (Ephesians 4; 17, 24). Correlated to the citations are the following from "Science ana Health with Key to the Scriptures" Scrip-tures" by Ma it Baker Eddy: "When mortal man iblends hi& thoughts of existence with the spiritual and works only as God works, he will no longer grope in the dark and cling to earth because be-cause he has not tasted heave" (p. 263). The likeness of God we lose sight of through sin, which beclouds the spiritual sense ol Truth; and we realize this likeness only when we subdue sin ana prove man's heritage, the liberty of the sons of God" (p. 315). |
