Show Milford Scouts Go ToProvoPow-wow The annual training pow wow of Utah National Parks council, Boy Scouts of America, under the direction of the "Y" Eagles club, was held at Brigham Young university May 5-to-7; and in the language of the 400 Scout.s who attended, "It was a-, whale of.;a success". The pow wow idea is strictly a Itraining course for Scouts in difficult merit badge subjects with university faculty members and other specialists acting as instructors. Joe Pace. "Y" Eagle club president, reports representation of Scouts fro,-practically fro,-practically every ilroop in Utah county as well as from troops in faraway sections including Mn-ford, Mn-ford, Richfield, Roosevelt, etc. Scouts who participated will return re-turn to their local districts and endeavor to pass ithe requirements of each merit badge as a result ot the training given alt the pow wow Awards will be made at the district dis-trict court of honor. Those attending the pow wow from Milford were Jay Jeffers. Stanley Hughes, Wallace Hughes Don Chrisjtensen, Veni Chrhf.en-sen, Chrhf.en-sen, Douglas Ryan and Thorp Waddingham. The group made the trip in the car of Bishop M. J. Christensen, which also carried jtheir sleeping bag packs and eating utensils. |
