Show o League Baseball BeginsMay 29th At a mealing held at Fillmore Sunday, May 8, the Millard-Beaver Baseball league was organized The following cammunWies were represented: Milford, Beaver, Fillmore, Fill-more, Delta and the C C C camp located at Antelope sprinfs, about 40 miles west of Delta. The board of control is composed com-posed of H. D. Johns, Fillmore; D. N. Hickman, Milford, and Ma-loy Ma-loy Cahoon of Dellla. Each club is to pay an entrance fee of $10.00. the winning team to get $60, Ithis mount to be used to pay the entrance en-trance fee to the sl!a4e baseba'.l tournament. With Milford being able to get into this league we should see some very good ball games this year. The boys are turning out every evening for practice and S. looks like we are going to have a very good team this season. Oui first game is with Fillmore on our home grounds May '29. Don miss seeing this game as this' should be a very good game, even if it is at the beginning of the season. The league schedule will bq prinlDed in a later issue of Tlu News. |
