Show 1TA Through a Woman's Eyes Why is it Spring is the beginning begin-ning of things anew things of normity? Why is it that Nature's awakening should mean looking ahead and upward ? Why's such as these are never meant for answering. answer-ing. They signify JeircumsHance which needs no excuse for existing. exist-ing. Simply an "is" unquestioned. unquestion-ed. There is the beginnings of new life in animal and mineral forms. There is the 'beginning of new seasons, new modes of living. And beginnings of new recreations, recrea-tions, new wardrobes even new thoughts. ' And, too, as we said, Nature's Awakening means looking onward and upward. There is the graduate, grad-uate, educationally looking upward up-ward to new pursuits; and there is the man and his mate looking ahead to the "Springtime" uniting we know as the June wedding. There is new hope hope that "Spring Come on Forever". you- read "Rebecca" or "My Son, My Son", yet? No? 'Even so you might consider promising prom-ising yourself the treat to seeing see-ing these two recent best sellers on the silver screen as Hollywood Holly-wood chooses to depict them. They are just released and exce'lent entertainment, 'tis rumored. You Know I am always amused when I see a man in a kitchen busy. Not that he shouldn't penetrate the holy sanctum of woman, but it is the way he "is" in this domiciliary. domicil-iary. I'll try and get my point over to you: To begin with, I think it is the way he wears an apron. It (the apron) is always inadequate too small for him. It seems sd atrociously feminine, contrasted against the bulk of his mid-section. Coupled with this, is the rolled-up-sleeve-to-elbow state he initiates. It fairly shrieks of action about to take place. And the way he moves about the kitchen! It is rather carefully with alacrity, swiftly and with reverence. Too, the things he does in the kitchen are done with a sureness and purpose that is keen and with an utter disregard of detail. But, most of all, it is the way a man looks in the kitchen. kitch-en. His is such an all-over intent to achieve and on his face is sufe-ly sufe-ly narrated concentration at its utmost. As I say, I am always amused when I see a man in kitchen. There is the man who said of a woman's hat veil (said hat being described as a , beau-catcher) "That isn't fishnet, that's "sucker-net"! "sucker-net"! Sincerely, "YOUR OBSERVER" |
