Show BEAVER Mrs. May Edwards of Salt Lake City is the guest of her cousin, Mrs. Moyes, and other relatives for the next two weeks, Mrs. Chris Nolan and children and brother, Deloy Waker, were guests of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwob, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baker and two daughter of Blackfoot, Idaho, are spending two weeks in Beaver county, coun-ty, visiting relatives in Beaver and Milford. Mrs. Arshel Hollingshead entertained enter-tained Sunday in honor of the sixth birthday of her little son Vavar. Twenty little friends spent the afternoon after-noon playing games and lunch was served at 4 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwob and children spent Saturday with relatives rela-tives at Minersville. The Beaver canning center has done a big business the last three weeks. Over 1200 cans of vegetables have been processed besides a large number of bottles. People have been signed up for ten days in advance. Miss Dorothy Williams has returned return-ed from a three months visit with relatives in Baltmore, New York and Washington, D. C. Born, August 25, to Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson, a girl; and to Mr. and Mrs. La Mar Stoddard, a boy. Mi-s. Jack Banks and three little daughters of Caliente, Nevada, are the guests of Mrs. Banks' parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Valentine. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Yardley, who were married in June, were the honored hon-ored guests at a wedding shower given giv-en Wednesday night in the Beaver West ward amusement hall. Over 200 friends were present and the evening-was evening-was spent with dancing and program, with light refreshments following. Many lovely and useful gifts were received by the honored guests. Mrs. Edith Woolsey is leaving this week for Los Angeles to visit her brother, Ernest Cowdell, and family. Returning, she will make her home in Cedar City this winter with her daughter, Miss Ann Woolsey, who is working at the employment office there. Miss Martha Louise Hurst entertained enter-tained her club Friday evening at her home. Mrs. Sam Johnson entertained her club Wednesday evening. . o |
