Show MILFORD POST FEED 76 HUNGRYVETERANS Seventy-six Washing-ton bound veterans arrived in Milford Tuesday evening on a freight train en route from Los Angeles to Salt Lake on the first lap of their journey to the Nation's Capitol where they will join their thousands of buddies in a demand de-mand for the passage of the Veterans' Veter-ans' bonus bill. Upon their arrival in Milford the local legion post provided a lunch of hot coffee, sandwiches and other eatables eat-ables for the hungry army, which was served in the building recently vacated by the P. P. O. O. Garage, and prepared by the ladies of the Legion Auxiliary. An hour's time was given to the vets to enjoy their repast, before the freight left Milford. The aggregation aggrega-tion marched in orderly manner from the depot to Main street ,and seemed to greatly appreciate the hospitality extended them by the American Legion Le-gion Post of Milford. The local post notified the Salt Lake Post of the American Legion who promised to take care of the men upon their arrival in that city. |
