Show TOOK 12 INNINGS TO DOWN MARRIED MEN Milford, in a 12 inning game Sunday, Sun-day, the single men's ball team defeated de-feated the married men. Both teams had a sprinkling of the regular Milford Mil-ford team and played a very interesting inter-esting game. There were some sparkling plays. In the first inning Sherm Hickman batting cleanup for the married men hit a long home run with the bases loaded, but right after af-ter this hit Horton went in to pitch and held them to four earned runs in eleven innings and was still going strong. "Shiek" Garzan and Roy White supplied the spectacular catches catch-es "Shiek" went over and took a fowl ball over an automobile with one hand and Roy took a line drive over first with one hand. Melvin Stanley made two throws from1 deep left field to home plate throwing out a man sliding in each time. Edwards pitching pitch-ing for ,the married men pitched a good game until the twelfth when his arm, wliich had been sore for five innings finally gave out. The married mar-ried men could have won in the tenth inning with a little smart base running, run-ning, but Tommy James got caught off first by a few inches on a fast play. This was the last chance they had to win.
