Mrs. LaVon Bird left for Caliente, Nevada, Saturday, to make her home. Mr. Bird is employed by the railroad there. The date of the Old Maid's Convention Con-vention is Mar. 1. You should attend. -Saturday Mrs. Sadie Jones and Doug:. Fortheringham were summoned summon-ed to Salt Lake City on account of the critical illness of their father, A. L. Fotheringham. His condition being much improved, they returned here Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Webb left last Friday for a two weeks' visit in Kansas Kan-sas City, Mo. DeLoy Carter and Roy White, Jr., spent a few days of last week in Caliente. Mrs. Ross Long, of Caliente, was a visitor here last week-end. She came Saturday and leaves the latter part of the week for her home with Miss Mae Heslington accompanying accom-panying her for a visit. There will be a public card party at the I. O. 0. F. hall next Wednesday, Wednes-day, given by the Rebekahs. Admission Admis-sion 35c. All are invited, two or three days on business. C. Nolan has two theatre tickets at the News office. L. G. Clay went to Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon to be gone for Miss Pearl Rodgers, of Salt Lake City, and friend, Miss Leah Wilson, visited in Milford Sunday with Miss Rodgers' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rodgers. W. Y. Williams, of Salt Lake, arrived ar-rived here Wednesday and went out Thursday to see the mines near Garrison owned by Mr. J. Dearden. Mr. Dearden, who has been here for several weeks, went with him. A. L. Couch was up from Caliente Wednesday. R. Bowman is over from Beaver Mr. and Mrs. Jack Piatt, of Salt Lake, were here Tuesday en route to the Beaver Crown mine. W. A. Smith, son of Supt. Smith, spent "Tuesday and Wednesday here. A. B. Christensen, the income tax man of Richfield, was here on Monday. Mon-day. Among the shop men in Milford this week were L. Sarenson of Gunnison, Gun-nison, H. Neilson, Monroe, and John D. Hanson of Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Barnes of Caliente Cali-ente were seen among the rush and the crush here on Saturday. Klwood Martensen of Parowan was a Milford visitor Thursday. W. D.
