Show PECULIAR INCIDENT OCCURS WEDNESDAY STORE MANAGER IS ATTACKED BY MAN OF UNSOUND MIND Louis Allen, manager of Allen's Cash Store, believes that it takes all kinds of people' to make up a world. On Wednesday morning, a stranger walked into the Allen Cash Store, and without cause, struck Mr. Allen in the face. The man had asked to see Mr. Allen Al-len in the back room. Then he proposed pro-posed going outside. Behind the store, lie informed Mr. Allen that the latter lat-ter had been talking about him and struck him a hard blow alongside the jaw. Mr. Allen saw there was no use to fight back, but took up a rake handle for protection, while "Red" Hollingshead, the clerk, went iov Marshal Coleman. The stranger went along with Mr. Coleman to the jail in docile enough fashion. Mr. Allen did not prefer charges against the man, who seemed seem-ed to be demented a little. The stranger was ordered out of town by the authorities. Mr. Allen suffered some inconvenience incon-venience and nruch pain from the blow he received, as the man was a big fellow and put a lot of his weight behind the punch. |
