NOT HIS DOINGS With valley landholders and other interested parties in an uproar over the proposed bill to place the regulation regula-tion of the use of underground waters wa-ters in the hands of the state engineer, engi-neer, State Representative Jefferson wishes it known to those concerned that .it was not of his planning that form letters were sent to farmers of the flat with the idea in mind that they mark them as being in favor of, or opposed to, underground water legislation and mail them to him at the state house. In a telephone conversation to this city Tuesday evening, Mr. Jefferson said he wanted it expressly understood under-stood here that he had nothing to do with the arranging of plans to sound out local sentiment by the above mentioned method.
