Show RAILROAD EMPLOYES TAKE POSSESSION OFTOWN SATURDAY, ANNUAL BANQUET AND FROLIC OF THE M. E. G. IS HELD .Miscellaneous railroad employer gathered in Milford from points both north and south to have a good time, and it seemed that the enormous crowd enjoyed itself. Special cars from Provo, Lynndyl and Caliente were sidetracked in Milford as the hosts of visitors unloaded. Ey six-thirty, six-thirty, it was estimated that there were over three hundred visitors in town. The banquet at the U. P. dining room taxed the capacity of the hall and tables overflowed into the lobby beyond. Taking a part in the affair were many officials of the road from points distant. Later the crowd pushed its way into in-to the gym at the high school and overflowed onto the playing floor. In a game that at times was necessarily a scramble, the Milford M. E. G. won over Caliente by a narrow margin. Dancing followed at two halls until un-til nearly two o'clock. The Milford orchestra played at the Arion and the Lynndyl musicians put out the harmony for the dancers at the high school. The entire brass band from Lynndyl Lynn-dyl was on hand and took a conspicuous conspicu-ous part in the evening's program. Again the city of Milford has reason rea-son to compliment this group of railway rail-way employes for their deportment while guests of the town. Although the crowd was a mass of humanity, through all the evening local officers of the law say that their duties in handling the good natured crowd were not difficult. . 0 |
