Show TOWN IS REPLACING UNDERSIZED WATER PIPES WITH LARGER j MUCH WORK LIES AHEAD ON OTHER i PLANS BEING MADE City improvements are underway this week, with the installing of new larger sized water-pipes and the put-ting put-ting in of new electric water pumps, under the foremanship of Water Engineer En-gineer Ted Kronholm. New four-inch water pipe will go in on Eighth Avenue, replacing the three-inch ones now in place. This work was started this week, and will be completed next week. In addition to new cast-iron pipe, the city is putting in a new fire hydrant at the corner of 8th and South Utah. C. B. Church, of the Fairbanks-Morse Fairbanks-Morse Pump company, was in town this week, and sold two electric pumps. One is a bolster pump, bought by the town; the other was purchased by the Board of Education for use in pumping pump-ing water for use. on the school lawn. Charlie Baxter is installing this. Kronholm has plenty of work ahead for the next few days, with other water wa-ter and sewage improvements which the town will put in. Following closely upon t'Jis, will come the installation in-stallation of the new White Way on Main street after the issue is properly prop-erly okey'd and an improvement district dis-trict formed. |
