Women Find Favor as Best Drivers of Automobiles Pointing out that the mooted question ques-tion as to whether women or men are tlie best drivers will probably never be settled to the satisfaction of all concerned, the Chicago Motor Club submits, for what they may be worth, some recent surveys which seem to favor the women. The surveys, according to the motor club, were made by several authorities, author-ities, and were not intended, primarily, to determine the driving merits of the two sexes. , "Several of the surveys, which took into consideration a number of states and cities and which was made on a nationwide basis, indicated that women wom-en compromise 24 1-3 per cent of all drivers in the United States," the club declared in a statement. "Another survey, also made on a city and state basis, showed that out of 5G9.9C0 drivers involved in accidents, acci-dents, 33.S30 of them, or6 per cent, were women. "Thus, these surveys roughly Indicate Indi-cate that although one out of every four drivers is a woman, they become involved in only one accident In every seventeen."
