Show PLEADS GUILTY TO CAR THEFT CHARGE TAKES PENALTY FOR JOYRIDE AS OTHERS FAIL TO OWN UP Frank Durkee, a young man from the east, who was in the employ here of the Beaver Copper, pleaded guilty in court last Friday to the charge of taking George Jefferson's car for a joyride. It seems that there were more in the party than Durkee but the young man took the full responsibility, refusing to name his companions, if any. He was given a fine of $100 or a jail sentence of 50 days. He chose the latter. The car underwent considerable damage before it was finally found, abandoned on the hill. |
