This is the era of big things. Business is conducted in a big and lavish way and so is politics, thanks to our modern primary system. The railroad, the automobile, the areo-plane, areo-plane, the modern long distance telephone, the telegraph and the radio have made our present civilization possible. Where our financers used to talk in millions they now talk in hundreds of millions and even billions. This is not only the era of big business but of standardized standard-ized business. Our present prosperity in part is due to the standardized methods now employed, together with the mass production which this makes possible. The tendency is toward combination, toward bigger and better things in the business world. And, as pointed out above, our modern methods of rapid communication have made this possible.
