Show JOYOUS MONTH OF MAY WAS FULL OF FUN AND FROLIC As far as pleasure-loving Milford was concerned, the month of May was a 'live' one. For entertainments, there were numerous sorts offered, the number of which proves conclusively conclusi-vely that there is always something doing at Milford. Here are a few of last May, as gathered from our files: Seven regular dances at Hanging-Rock. Hanging-Rock. Veterans of Foreign Wars dance. Two nights of 'Follies' show. Banquet to cast by Lions club. One week of California Players' tent show. Nightly shows at Orpheum with occasional matinees. High School Commencement program. pro-gram. American Legion and Auxiliary banquet. Ball game Decoration Day. Weekly Bridge parties. Weekly Lions Club luncheon. Dance at Arion following 'Follies' show. Extensive work by local lodges and fraternal orders. Boy Scout Honor Court meeting. Boxing matches. Band concerts. Lions club dance and Ladies' night banquet. School outing. Minersville Play at H. S. Calico and Overall Ball. |
