Show a PEPSODENT BACK TO NEWSPAPERS After a year or more experiment with radio advertising, the Pepsodent Company, who had the largest drawing card of any company advertising on the air "AJmos and Andy" have reached a decision to return to newspaper advertising beginning Oct. 1. This, of course, does not mean that Amos and Andy are out of a job. There are many radio programs that will all too glad to avail themselves of the opportunity to secure the services of this popular pair, but for Pepsodent they have found radio pro-grajms pro-grajms fail to get their messages over to the people as effectively as newspaper advertising. With admittedly the best radio feature on the air, Pepsodent failed to get the results that they formerly obtained in newspaper advertising. It is just a repetition, only on a larger scale, of the merchant who resor-ts to all kinds of freak advertising schemes and has to return to newspaper advertising to get results. a |
