Show i LEGION AUXILIARY HOLDS MEETING IN MINERSVILLE HOME Minersville members entertained local lo-cal membei-s of the American Legion Auxiliary at a business meeting held at the home of" Mrs. Allie Murdock in Minersville Wednesday evening. Plans for the next two months' activities ac-tivities were outlined and committees appointed. Minersville women serving serv-ing on committees are: Mrs. Ida Hol-lingshead, Hol-lingshead, chairman of the poppy committee to make arrangements for the sale of poppies in Minersville on May 23; Mrs. Vernetta McKnight, chairman of the . back yard play ground contest in Minersville; Mrs. Alice McKnight, chairman of committee commit-tee that is to make a quilt to be sold during the summer; Mrs. Aletha Gil-lins, Gil-lins, membership committee; Mrs. Alice McKnight and Alba Gillins, committee to arrange a public card party in Minersville'; Mrs. Aletha Gillins Gil-lins and Mrs. Verneta McKnight, committee com-mittee to assist Milford members with the hot dog stand for Forty-Niners day; Fern Hall, to assist with the quilt booth for the Forty-Niners celebration; cele-bration; Ida Hall and Fern Hall, committee com-mittee to solicit candy for the candy booth; Fern Hall, chairman of committee com-mittee to arrange a social meeting in Minersville in June. Mrs. Ethel Nielsen, Mrs. J. M. Hughes and Mrs. Abbie Dutson were Milford members that attended the Minersville meeting. |
