Show 0 O ! MINERS VILLE NOTES o o Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sherwood spent the first part of the week at Levan, Utah, visiting Mrs. Sherwood's Sher-wood's parents. Mrs. John M. Griffith returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City, where she has been visiting relatives. The Mesdames James W. Eyre and Josiah Osborne attended the funeral of Mrs. 0. A. Murdock at Beaver, Wednesday. Mrs. Clifford Banks of Kanara, Utah, spent Saturday here visiting relatives. ; Mrs. R. J. Law, of Beaver, visited here Sunday with her brother, H. W. Hall, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Craw were made happy over the arrival of a baby boy, born April 19th. Dr. Warrten Shepherd and sons, Quinn and Joffery, of Salt Lake City, were here looking after business Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bradshaw, of Parowan, have moved here to make their home. Wallace Osborne and Clarence Gil-line, Gil-line, of Cedar City, spent the weekend week-end here visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Vernile Goff, of Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, spent the week-end here visiting visit-ing relatives and friends. The three one-act plays that were given here Saturday night by the Beaver high school, under the direction direc-tion of Miss Laura Shepherd, were all appreciated by a large audience, The Daughters of the Pioneers held a meeting here Monday evening. The history of H. A. Walker was given by his daughter, Mrs. Amy Baker. A program was furnished by members of the Baker family. P.-T.-A. MEETING HELD A Parents' and Teachers' meeting was held here Wednesday evening Professor Sargent, of the Branch Agricultural college, was the speaker. speak-er. Musical numbers were furnished by B. A. C. and Minersville high school students. The Seniors of the Minersville H' are giving their annual Senior Hoi-May Hoi-May 8th at the Hanging Rock Part-dance Part-dance pavilion. The Milford orchestra will furnish the music. Mrs. Emily Sudweeks and sons, La Var and Alton, of Kingston, Utah, were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Banks. |
