Show SOUTH MILFORD NOTES Social Hour Club The Social Hour club- met at the club house last Thursday afternoon with Mesdames McKnight and Haskell Has-kell as hostesses. During the business session the club decided to make some articles for the Red Cross Tuberculosis hospitals. hospi-tals. The hostesses then staged a novel cake-making contest which proved both hilarious and educational. Two new members were added, Mrs. Harold Har-old Sauter and Mrs. Melvin Edwards. Guests of the afternoon included Mesdames Mes-dames Stout and Myers and Miss Stout Pink and white refreshments were served from tables decorated with large bowls of zinnias. The club will meet again at the club house on Thursday, September 20. Mrs. Don Pocock has returned from a long vacation and is nicely settled in the new cottage at the Parrish creamery. The newly laid cement floors in the barn and creamery buildings at the Parrish creamery not only add much to appearances but make for fine sanitation. The overcrowded school bus now passing through the center of the Flat begins to make us wonder when we might have a school of our own. Everyone is busy cutting seed, even I with a light crop. The cool days j threaten frost. |
