Show IMOSCOW SHAFT CUTS GOOD ORE DEV ELOI'M ENT IS CARRIED ON IN SEVERAL PLACES Sinking of the Moscow Silver Mines company sliift In the Stun district has reached a depth below 1020 feet, according to Garratt Wilkin, Wil-kin, manager. 1'rogres is at the rati; of two feet a day. Seepage water that drained into the shaft has dried up so that no trouble is expected from this source for some time to come. On Tuesday the shaft broke into a streak of ore, 10 to 18 inches wide that assayed $1 in gold, 17 ounces of silver to the ton, C.C per cent lead and since the shaft is being sunk on the footwall of the Glory fissure, a big producer on the upper levels, this occurrence is interpreted as having a most favorable bearing on the chances for opening up large ore bodies in the lower horizons. On the 15C5 level on the winze below the 1100 level, a drift -is being be-ing advanced north along the beds, that farther back carried six feet of high grade ore for 30 feet. This ore was followed down below the 1565 foot level until water Btopped work and it was decided to develop this showing on the 1C00 foot level. Ore is being followed in a raise above the 15C5 foot level. This ore has changed from a carbonate to a sulphide. On the 1100 foot level south, a strongly mineralized fissure is being be-ing followed to open up the Boston vein at the depth in virgin ground. South on the Mammoth fissure, leasers are following a promising lead, that has produced considerable ore in the past. A tunnel run on this same vein from Red Warrior gulch was productive of ore from the 500 foot level to the surface. Contractors are driving a drift on the 900 foot level to cut the Glory fissure at is intersection with the silver bed, where important developments devel-opments are expected. Leasers in the Glory stope on the 000 foot level recently completed a carload of rich sulphate ore. Car samples taken of this shipment assayed 52 per cent lead and 22.8 ounces of silver to the ton.
