Show BETTY COMPSON NATIVE OF FRISCO Betty Compson, who appears in "Street Girl" Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the Victory Theatre, was born in Frisco, Beaver County, Utah. She was educated in Salt Lake City and first gained experience as a violinist vio-linist in a vaudeville act. She is ideally suited for talking roles and has done outstanding work in "The Barker", "Weary River", ,and "On with the Show". " "Street Girl" is one of those shows that has an appeal for every theatregoer; theatre-goer; there is a captivating plot. There is a generous share of fine music, and there is a wealth of personality per-sonality in the talented cast headed by Betty Compson. There is a generous share of comedy com-edy in the picture, capably handled by three veterans of the stage, Joseph Cawthorn, Jack Oakie &nd Ned Sparks. Guy Buccola, a new-comer new-comer to the screen, adds to the har-mony har-mony of the tale with his performance perform-ance on various musical instruments. |
