Show MILFORD TRIMS ELY TO TUNE 21 TO 7 The Milford-Ely ball game Sunday Sun-day on the local diamond drew a large crowd, which enjoyed one of the best games of the season. That Milford has a fast ball team this season was proven by the fact that the game resulted in a score of 21 to 7 in favor of the local boys. R. H. Hill pitched the entire game with the exception of the last part of the nineth inning. Harry Livergood caught the game. The features of the game were two home-runs made by Gene Turner and Spencer Schow. Ely has a g-ood team and a good pitcher, but the local boys had no trouble in finding the balls. The Milford team was well supported sup-ported by the "rooter" who believe that the town has a ball team this season that deserves their support. |
