Show ATTACK OX FARMERS Special Bulletin No. 72, issued by the Farm Mortgage Bankers Ass'u of America makes a pointed attack on the interests of the farmers, with an all apparent intent to injure the cause of the Federal Farm Loan banks. Listen to these scare heads: "Government losses of six hundred hun-dred million dollars annually. "Collections drop nearly two-thirds. two-thirds. "$862,326,488 loss In two years. "Secretary of Treasury Condemns. "Spokane Land Bank president makes many mistakes. "Texas farmers likely to pay an assessment. "Information suppressed." In other words, applied locally, the plan to aid the farmer by getting for him long time loans on his farm, raised by bonds not subject to tax, in order to enable that farmer to get his money at the very lowest rate, so conflicts with the profits of the above named organization that it lobbies against it. brings test case suit against it, floods the country with literature against it, and in every ev-ery possible way tries to thwart the favorable legislation. The State Bank of Oasis, the First National Bank of Delta and the Delta Del-ta State Bank all stand firmly ir favor of getting Ion? time loans in this region ' through the Fe leral Farm Loan Land banks. Thev aro not opposed to it; it dees not conflict with their interest, but aids them and you. But an opposing faction is fighting it down with all the bitterness bit-terness of a purse-string fight. Write your Congressman, write your Senator, to be favorable to a measure which will get you cheap money through Government aid. Ask them to' support the Federal Farm Loan Land Banks.
