' ' o job lor the whole three days,! :'"i'e; yeoman's service; Dee Cox closed his pool hall entirely, with a ivercnaninious spirit, not only thereby there-by putting himself on the work j which ho did hut also cutting out v the moans of many finding an eexuse not to go, and winning a high esteem from all who had the success of the days 'n mind. The Mexicans volunteered volun-teered their services; nineteen or so of them got out with a good will, shovelling the gravel into the wagons at the pit, smiling, making merry of j it, and working with a vim. Judge Jerome Tracy contributed $10 In! cash in lieu of personal work; the Ha! Oil Company made a donation of pll the gasoline and oil for one full day's run of the big tractor. South Tract, North Tract, and citizens of the town, all got together in the j common purpose and made a united shewing of community spirit. All who took a part can not be thanked individually, as that is out' of the question; but a word can be' spoken of the good work given by Committeemen Geo. P. Hart, Harry T. Baker, E. F. Battson and A. C. v Strihgham. O A. Anderson took in hand the side of the duties falling upon the town officials and put his whole efforts into it. Edwin F. Bishop had charge of a gang at the gravel pit. Dan Sirflkins brought in a bunch of helpers from Sutherland, and even had his little youngster not as big as a pint o' soap after a hard day's wash driving four head ; of horses on a drag. Leland Kim- ball donated for the Sevier Land & ! Water Company all of the gravel needed. Millard County donated the use of the big Holt 7 5, and County Commissioner Commis-sioner C. O. Waruick and Road Commissioner Com-missioner Steele were on the job early and late. It was a sight worth looking at to see the big caterpillar drill along with eight loaded trailers, each with four cubic yards of gravel in it. There were several contributions in cash, loan of teams and equipment, equip-ment, and personal labor given, for which all with no intent to overlook over-look any due thanks are given. We thank you, gentlemen, one and all. DELTA TOWN BOARD, j DELTA COMMERC'L CLUB, I CITIZENS OF THE TOWN. |
