Show The following friendse called on Mrs. Ray Tozer on Thursday and enjoyed the afternoon: Mrs. Rulon Starley, Mrs. Clarence Williams, Mrs. Marlon Klllpack, Mrs. Orson Rasmussen, Mrs. J. M. Twitchell, Mrs. C. S. Stout, MrH. James Gott-tredsen, Gott-tredsen, Mrs. Oren Clark, Mrs. Geo. Tozer, and the-Misses Dycle Law und Gladys Bishop. Refreshments were served. Mrs. J. M. Twitchell left on Tuesday Tues-day or Colorado, whore she will visit vis-it relatives for some time. Wilson Keelor expects to leave for the University of Arizona shortly. We had the pleasure of looking at some pictures that H. A. Lawrence Law-rence took on his recent trip to the Yellowstone; a bear feeding out of a person's hand; a bear on a car; geyser, lake, landscape, Yellowstone Canyon, and - a string of borrowed fish, deer in pen and bison a mother moth-er bear and two cubs; Mammoth Hot Springs Terrace, and Vard G. Tucker and David Lawrence sitting in a huge chair, made of deer horns. The pictures were very interesting. A subscription is out to raise money mon-ey to improve Clark Street a very fine improvement. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anderson entertained at dinner Sunday; the following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Crawford, Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Anderson, Glen Crawford, Miss Gladys Whitehead, White-head, and Mrs. Arthur Bringhurst. Joseph Dee is riding in his new Chrysler car. which ia certainly a dandy. It is the first one bot in Delta. Roy Justesen returned from Grid-ley, Grid-ley, Cal., from attending the funeral funer-al of his father, who died from injuries in-juries received in an auto accident. Mr. Justesen was sixty-two years of age, and met his death, not In his own car, but in a friend's, who was run Into by another. Mrs. Afton Tonge is the guest of Mra. Harry Pearson of the South Trac"t. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Bunker, Miss Helen and Master Dannie motored to Salt Lake City last week, where they left Miss Helen with her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs, Ida Bolton. Miss Helen will go to school In the city this year. Mrs. W. J. Oppenheimer, Mrs! Elmer El-mer Golden, and Mra. Chaa. ThomaB and children drove to Holden Tuesi-i day and returned with fruit. Mr. Willis Savage has returned from Logan where he has been attending at-tending the A. C. He will be the principal of the Delta High School this winter. Mrs. Wallace Wright returned from Salt Lake City Thursday, where she has been visiting the last two weeks, and helping with the- wedding of her sister, Miss Erma Anderson. Miss Alice Maud Stephens of Salt Lake City i3 visiting in Delta and Hinckley. Miss Stephens has been teaching music in the L, D. S. Sohool of Music. S. B. Folsom attended the Republican Repub-lican Convention in Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Frank Helse and Mrs, John De Lapp entertained Saturday evening; even-ing; about thirty guests were present pres-ent and Mah Jong and "500" were played, after which refreshments were served. N- Broadbent is in Salt Lake City (or a few days, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Cass returned last week from a very nice trip to Bryce's Canyon, Fish Lake, and Lehman's Leh-man's Caves. The altitude was too high at Fish Lake, do a quick retreat re-treat was had to Baker, Nevada, where they met and enjoyed a long talk with Prof. Le Baron, who is conducting the archeological discoveries discov-eries in that region. State Senator George H. Dern, Democratic candidate for Governor, accompanied by Joshua Greenwood, were Delta visitors last Friday, having hav-ing called on a number of people in the county. Philo Rasmusen is up and around after a short sickness. There Is a story around to the effect that man walked into a local bank, and anxiously Inquired if it was sound; being told by the teller, "Certainly, it's sound," he then deposited de-posited $2.50! Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Warnlck drove to Salt Lake City this week to attend at-tend the Rodeo and Round Up and learn a few things about broncho bustin'. Mrs. Effie S. Barrows and Mrs. V. P. Christensen of Logan gave a talk to the Relief Society and all others who wished to come on the subject of Domestic Science. They are on extension work in Southern Utah; from here they will go to Hinckley and Fillmore. Mrs. Barrows Bar-rows taught demestic science in the Delta High School three years ago. Esper Funk went to Salt Lake this week and from there will go on to Idaho. Blythe Pace returned from Salt Lake City, where she motored with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pace, who have gone on through to Ban Juan County. Mrs, Charles Peppard entertained ai cards at her home Friday afternoon, after-noon, "500" was enjoyed and italnty refreshments served.
