Show County Board Proceedings The County Commissioners were in session the first of the month and transacted their regular reg-ular monthly business matters. Other affairs coming up before the board which are of interest was the report of the Donnitz Co., who who have been engaged engag-ed the past three months in plotting all lands of Millard Co. These plots show all surveyed lands within the county and whether they are in private ownership, own-ership, under process of being patented and goverment and state lands. They also show the lands under private ownership which were not on the assessors rolls for 1915. These plats have brot out the fact that there was 12,300 acres of privately owned land on which taxes were not paid last year. This land under a fair valuation will bring to the county some $50,000 in tax money. mon-ey. Quite a nice little balance in favor of the county. Besides this the company doing the work ieaves in the hands of the county a complete record of every surveyed sur-veyed acre of land within the county and any one wishing to familiarize himself with any piece of land, as to whether it is .jpen to entry, under process of patent, or patented can find out by making the trip to Fillmore and consulting this map. It was also reported at the meeting that funds had been ex-nausted ex-nausted and road work would be stopped for a short time until more funds become available. A petition from Hinckley people peo-ple asking that a road be opened thru Sec. 24, west of that town, was referred to the road supervisor. super-visor. Two widow's pensions were granted. One of $5 to Christina Dum, of Scipio and one of $15 to Mrs. Samuel Wade of Fillmore. |
