Show 3, p. m., with one hour for intermission inter-mission for luncheon. The water wat-er Users' Association held a rousing meeting from 2 to 5, p. in., in which much enthusiasm was shown and important business busi-ness was transacted. At 8, p. m., the usual bi-weekly Literary Society meeting was held and a packed house was entertained for two and one-half hours with a program which was so good that even the children were so well entertained they did not become be-come restless. The music was so well rendered that e-ery selection sel-ection was encored. An able violinist was called back three times. We are surely proud of the intelligent and cooperative spirit shown in our little community, com-munity, and if it continues to prevail we need fear nothing for our future well being and happiness. The case of Jeff Clark, vs. Andrew An-drew Eiszele, in which the dis-cision dis-cision was taken under advisement advise-ment by the Judge, has been given giv-en to the Plaintiff. Mrs. Alice Clark, who has been spending the winter months in California, returned home last week and expresses herself as glad to get back to the Pahvant valley once more. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Clark, accompanied ac-companied by their father J. J. Clark, spent last week in Salt Lake City. The Hinckley district school band was an attraction on the street of Delta Wednesday evening even-ing and attracted a good deal of notice and comment. They certainly cer-tainly did play -well and deserves deser-ves all the bouquets handec them. One little fellow with i big horn we noticed was so smal. he had to look around for a bumf or clod to stand on so he could get action on the horn. The oc casion was a theatrical plaj from Hiuckley. Miss Edna Beck entertained the O. Z. O. club at their regu lar monthly social Wednesday evening. Games were playec and supper was served to ten members of tne club. Tne taple decorations and menu were bot? suggestive of St Patrick's Day. Word was received yesterdaj of the death of Mrs. Shipley, mother of Bishop G. D. Shiplej of Sutherland, who died at hi; home Wednesday morning. Mrs. Shipley was eighty-one years old at the time of her death and ha( made her home with the Bishop since he settled in the Delta country three years ago. Her body will be cared for by an Ogden undertaker, and will be taken there for interment. Woodrow Items Woodrow is receiving its share of the new settlers and the carpenter car-penter and wall drivers are be-i be-i lg kept busy. Messrs Hargis and Patten are camping on the old Robinson ranch until their house one mile east is completed. The Mulvy's have settled on the Koch ranch recently purchased by them. A new farhily is preparing pre-paring to build at the Myre? ranch, and a new home is being constructel on the land originally origi-nally bought by Mr. Thralfall. We are glad to welcome these new comers. We hope they will join in our activities and thus add to the "good times" we all so much enjoy. Saturday, March 11th was a great day for Wood row-. A large number of our citizens attended at-tended the trial winch opened at 10, a. m.( and continued until |
