Show For District Attorney Attorney Higgins and Vern Bartholomew came over Tuesday j and left on the night train for : Salt Lake City, where they are ! called on business matters. They ' expect to return the last of the week. These gentlemen report that the artisian well business around the county seat is making things lively and new ones are being brot in almost every week, and that they are proving a great boom to the county. Attorney Higgins, in conversation conver-sation with the editor reviewed some of the stirring scenes up in Bear Lake County, Ida., during dur-ing his administration as county coun-ty attorney there, the places and characters of which were very familiar to us, being jast across the line from where we were anchored before coming to Millard Mill-ard county. During a review of the political politi-cal situation in Utah, Mr. Higgins Hig-gins informed us that he contemplated contem-plated entering the race for attorney at-torney for this district on the republican ticket. Mr. Higgins is a man we should judge, who is well qualified quali-fied to fill this dignified office and we predict he will give any opponent, who may aspire to the office a good run for his money. It is definitely stated by friends of William B. Higgins of Fillmore Fill-more that he will be a candidate before the republican convention next fall for the nomination of district attorney. Mr. Higgins is said to have not only the support sup-port of his own county, but of a considerable portion of the district dis-trict as well. Having been born and raised in Washington county he will naturally be in line for the support of delegates from that county, and the indications are that he will be a hard candidate candi-date to down.
