Show Delta Farm Land Brings Good Price A land sale was closed the first of the week which shows which way thfi wind blows in the Delta country. H. T. White-worth White-worth who had an -eighty a mile and a quarter northeast of Sutherland Suth-erland has just disposed of it for $109 per acre. There was but little improvement on the place-It place-It contained a claim shack and had thirty acres in fall wheat and ten acres ready for sugar beets which constituted the development de-velopment on the land. The place had been tried out however how-ever and last year yielded 50 bu. of wheat to the acre. There is not much chance for a mistake when one can buy new land which will bring him a return of 50 bushels of wheat to the acre is there''' That is what Chas. C. Keeler of Prescott, Arizona, evidently thot when he paid the price he did for this fine piece of Delta land. Mr. Keeler, who was formerly sheriff of the county which Prescott is in has decided to locate in this country and after making a thoro investigation investiga-tion of the country decided on this piece of land for his home. He will bring his family here in the near future and erect a nice home on his new possessions and become one of us. We heartily welcome him among us, and will say that there is lots of room and plenty more of such land to be had for others who wish to take advantage of the opportunities awaiting them. |
