Show in? cups etc., and the prevention " of the spread of contagious diseases dis-eases from one member of the family to another and to the community. Our attendance was not as large as usual. There seemed to be some misunderstanding on account of the recent quarantine of our president. We urge all ladies interested in the welfare of the community, home and things pertaining to the educating educat-ing us up to standards of the present date, to join us and aid in the good work. Remember we meet the first Friday of each month. Let us keep apace with the spirit of the times and turn out, as we can't afford to miss these excellent meetings. Economics Report Meet On Friday, March 3rd., our regular monthly meeting of the Home Economics was held, Pres. Chidester presided. The following program was given: Vice Pres. Hoyt discussed the garden contest, read the names of the ladies who had entered and said a slight change had been made in the rules, and that the men would be allowed todo the cultivating. She urged others to join and receive the excellent instructions on gardening that would be sent from the A, C. U. Budget work, or the keeping of accounts, was explained by Vice Pres. Peterson, The necessity of keeping accounts of the income in-come and expenditures of the home was given, and explained just how accounts should be kept. The members expressed themselves on what they thought of keeping accounts. Mrs Peterson Peter-son said further instructions could be had from her. Clean up of home, town, and county, was the big idea of the meeting. Mary Hamilton gave further reports on the work given at the House keepers' Conference and gave excellent ideas on home sanitation. The lecture given by Dr. Broaddus was certainly a treat. He impressed us with the necessity neces-sity of cleaning up now, cleaning out corrals and out buildings, screening and swatting out flies, taking care of house wastes and fly germinating places.
