Show the game we must have practice. Oak City will play the South Tract Saturday the 19th. Robert Wiley has been laid up with lagrip the past week so he has been unable to get around- Everybody is busy with the first crop of hay. It is. a small job this crop and will not take long. Miss A.- Chrtstenson from Le-van Le-van is here visiting friends and relatives. Mr. Evans, of the Consolidated Wagon & Machine Co, is here from Nephi. Mrs. Ella Hansen, of Mills, is home visiting with her parents and friends for a few days. The Primary officers met last week with Mrs. Eliza Anderson to make a quilt for the benefit of the Primary. Lem Roper has at last returned return-ed home. He is on the improve but unable to help himself. It is reported that he must keep quite for at least one year and not try to do any work at all and he will be able to regain his strength a?ain. We all wish him the best of luck and success. Leslie Webb, of Hinckley, is spending a visit with his brother L R. Webb upon his homestead eist of town. Sheriff Dorrity, Game Com. Miah Day and Attorney King of Fillmore were here on the 15th o 'erlooking the open season for fishing. A large crowd was seen along the creek. B. L. Robins of Scipio was in town last week on business. The Oak City ball team made a trip to South Tract Saturday the 19th and were defeated again, the Score being 11 to 14. Oak City better get out and practice and play ball. This will never do: Alvin Lyman is erecting a new frame house which he expects to have completed in the near future. Oak City Offerings (Jos. H. Mrs. L Lovell has been on the sick list but is better at this writing. A large number left here last week to attend conference at Salt Lake, and while there Misses Miss-es L. Finlinson, and T. Lovell and Cliff Talbot will have their tonsils removed". A big base "ball game was played here last week Oak City vs. Deseret the game was rather rath-er one sided, Deseret making a tremendous run all the way through. The score was 29 to 8 in favor of the visiting team. Oak City has got to get out and do some practicing. To play |
