They niarchtnl west to Main street north to James Make's, south to the Hinckley Co-op, where a bait f was made while the band played and the students aang and cheered, then buck to the academy. The occasion for this splendid demonstration of school spirit waa the ( visit or the Tlnttc High School basket ball team to play the first regular scheduled game of the northern section , or the Southern State High School basket Hall League. The game was called at 3:30. At the end of the flrst half the score waa 13 to 40, and the final score was 18 to 80 In favor of the academy team. The line up or the'.MIllard Academy was: John Greener, capt.; Rodney Stott, Willie Pratt, Sieneer Nlelson and Arnold Workman. In tbe last half Karl Ulackburn and Ward Moody took the places of Nlelson and Stott. Prln. Davis of the Oak City public , school refereed, giving entire satisfaction satisfac-tion to both teams. Tbe game waa watched by a well Oiled house. While tbe game waa very , much one-aided it was thoroughly en-Joyed en-Joyed by the crowd, aa the band and students entertained them la a splendid . fashion during tbe game and especially between the halves. A dance waa given In the evening In honor of the visiting team. The academy team will meet the Mil- , lard County High School team next Saturday In Fillmore. , Wedneaday morning at the academy class meetings were held Instead of the regular devotional exercises. Each class had a fine musical and literary program prepared. Neit Wedneaday morning the debating debat-ing teams of the first and second year classes will meet at 8:45. A week later tbe teama of the third and fourth year classes w ill debate. A week later the two champion teama will meet to decide de-cide the Interclaas championship. A , prise of $10 Is offered the champion I interclaas debater. , Try-outs for tbe Inter high school debates wilt be held si soon as the Interclaas series are completed.
