Miss Lapriel Robinson left on Wednesday evening's train for the summer term in the 11 Y. (1. A number of Hinckley citizens including' Mrs. Cropper and Mrs. Hutchison have gone ncrthforj a spring visit. Friday May 20, was Homj Economics social day. Six autos carried loads of women to Mrs. Smith's home about two miles west of town. The genial hostess host-ess did much to promote sociability sociabi-lity and scatter good ideas among the 35 women present. The demonstration was a sponge cake of excellent texture and simple make. Ice cream was served with the cuke. A very "nifty" little entertainment enter-tainment was given at Hinckley Wednesday evening by the Home Economics Association. The program included much from music of a high order to burlesque burles-que of a rich order, fairy dancing, danc-ing, Amazon drill, clog dancing, -solos, duetts, and an exceeding realistic production of the burlesque bur-lesque of and Thisbee in Shakespeare's Shakes-peare's Mid-summer Night's Dream. The scoring of the town by the boy scouts under the direction of the Home Economics Association, Associa-tion, has been completed. Noth-' ing except sanitation was taken into account. Corrals, including pigpens, stables and . corrals proper, yards -considering also the well and outhouses, screening, screen-ing, removable vaults, and hinged hing-ed lids, were the chief points taken into consideration, hence passing up beauty for utility. In the town scoring, 5 was the lowest number of points given, 86 was the highest; 53 was the average of the 96 homes scored. A second scoring of those qualifying quali-fying (SO or above) resulted in awarding the first prize of $5 to J. A. Jackson on a score of 80, while the second prize of $3 was divided between Ed Workman, Work-man, John Tratt and T. H. Pratt who each scored 77. It was felt much good was accomplished by calling the attention of the citizens to a proper value of sanitation. 1 Hinckley Happenings. Mrs. Kate Hutchinson and Mrs. Lula Cropper and daughters, daugh-ters, were in Provo for commencement com-mencement exercises. Afton Hinckley, Claris Erick-j Erick-j son, Fannie Cropper and La-verna La-verna Wright, have returned home from where they have been attending the H. Y. U. ! T. C. Theabold was seriously hurt while riding his motorcycle, he run iii lo a calf and was thrown' off breaking his collar bone and shoulder blade, Dr. Broaddus did the setting of the bones. Mrs. Ilanna Cropper has just returned from Fillmore where she has been receiving treatment treat-ment from Dr. Stevens for a blood poisoned finger. Sunday afternoon a social was held at Charle Burke's home in honor of his daughter, Jocosa, who has lest with her affiance to be married in the St. George Temple- H. M. Bishop from Idaho, is c, visiting with his sister, Lula :- Cropper. j Mrs. A. F.
