In outside circles there was talk of the establishment of a small American military force as an embassy guard In Mexico, like that now maintained In Peking by the Americans, but Ambassador Ambas-sador Wilson has not asked for such a force, and it will not be sent otherwise. other-wise. President Taft believes there Is no groutid for Intervention in Mexico, and has not chanced that belief as the result re-sult of the military engagements in Mexico within the last few days. |
