Show THE RELIEF SOCIETY ENTERTAINS. ENTER-TAINS. The St. Patrick's Day entertainment by the Delta Relief Society last Friday Fri-day was a very enjoyable affair. As a good many of the men on the program for the afternoon exercises were away a volunteer program was furnished to the audience. The principal fun was in the evening, when between dances all sorts of stunts were given. A kangaroo court was Improvised with Hishop Maxneld. Mrs. Resale Uw and Mrs. Marie Porter on the bench. Police Po-lice were kept busy arresting offenders offend-ers of the laws and regulations of the assembly and were promptly fined by the court. Those who were not properly prop-erly garbed for the occasion were made to pay for their offense. Some prizes were given as well as fines Imposed. Im-posed. Miss Lynn Williams received the prize of a scarf for the most appropriate ap-propriate costume .Mr, Jtcponaki Hhd'M5aiiey' received fiHea f lie best waltzers a cup of buttermilk, for wliich they' had to pay five cents. R. J. Law proved the most efficient policeman po-liceman and receid a prize a potato stuffed with wheat. Roland Stewart with the best Irish Joke got a stuffed orange for a prize and St, Patrick got a stuffed potato as a prize. The hall was well filled, everybody had a good time and over $10 was taken In by the ladies. |
