Of the twenty two pupils from Descret In the spelling mutch, eleven were of the sixth grade, five of the seventh grade and the eighth grade class of six. The twenty-two 'entering from Hinckley were ail eighth grade. Nearly 600 words were given out when the Hinckley Hinck-ley pupils were all down and seven of the Deseret pupils were still standing. stand-ing. We doubt whether the average adult could have done as well. The score In the athletic contest tag 55 to 29 In favor of Deseret. In the debate between the Deseret and Hinckley Mutuals Fred Pack and John Reeve represented Hinckley and G- U. Petty and Clark Allred represented repre-sented Deseret. The decision of the judges was twM to one In favor of Deseret. I On March :i0 the triangular debate qn the question of the Initiative and referendum will be held. The affirmative affirma-tive side of the question will be taken by Kugene Hilton and Willis Lyman rif the academy In a debate at Hinckley Hinck-ley against the Fillmore team.
