Show Fifty-Sixth Wedding Anniversary Celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Slaughter of Hinckley will observe their 56th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, June 17. "Open House" will be held at the home of a daughter Mrs. Nora Bishop on Saturday between the hours of 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. All friends are invited to come. Mr. and Mrs. Slaughter were married in Rockville, Utah, June 17, 1888. They were later mnrried ' in the St. George Temple. In March 1893 they moved to Hinckley and have lived here since. They have been active in the church doing temple work and Mrs. Slaughter has served as an officer in the 'Relief Society and primary organizations. She has been an officer in the Daughters of the Pioneers organization since it was organized. Both of them are noted for their kindness and helpfulness to others. Mr. Slaughter Slaugh-ter has been a farmer anr threshing thresh-ing machine operator. This winter he underwent a major operation in a Salt Lake Hospital. They are the parents of eleven children ten of whom are living. They are Wallace and Harrison Slaughter and Mrs. Hazel Whitehead White-head of Los Angeles. Frank, Marion, Mari-on, and Rulon of Seattle, Washington, Washing-ton, Mrs. Nora Bishop of Hinckley, Mrs. Mildred Jacobson of Provo, Mrs. Georgia Smith of Tooele and Major Earl Slaughter in the Air Corp division at Santa Ana, California. Cali-fornia. 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. |
