Show United War Fund Chooses Board Members More than 200 members of the general board of the United War Fund of Utah were elected at the annual meeting held in Salt Lake City. The call for the annual meeting meet-ing was issued by Governor Herbert Her-bert IJ. Maw who is the honorary chairman of the state organization Delegates representing twenty-five twenty-five of the twenty-nine counties attended. Members of the general board who were chosen at the meeting to represent Millard County for present year are: James A. Kelly, Fillmore; Mrs. Jane Reay, Meadow; Mrs. LaVaun Robins, Scipio; Mrs. Mrs. Jane Wilson, Fillmore Mrs. Susie K. Maughn, Fillmore; Mrs. Flossie Stephensen, Holden; Mrs. Rebecca Kimball, Kanosh; Arthur Reeves, Hinckley; Carl Murray, Topaz; Oscar Soderquist, Sutherland; Suther-land; Mrs. Marcus Skeem, Oasis; Frank S. Beckwith, Delta; Edgar Nielson, Oak City; June Black, Delta; Del-ta; Mrs. Cleade iNelson, Lynndyl; Joseph T. Finlinson, Leamington; and, Ray Western, Deseret. White Top Control Property owners of Millard County Coun-ty are urged to keep the white top from seeding. If you haven't chemicals to treat the weed clip it now, so it won't seed. Later in the year when chemical is available it can be treated. Carbondisulphide can be obtained obtain-ed at Delta from Oren Bliss County Weed Supervisor. The County won't have a new shipment of atlicide for sale until September. The control of this weed takes united action, and cooperation. Don't let it seed. Don't run the risk of having your crops quarantined. |
