Show Roper Family Holds Reunion for Servicemen The futility of Ihe lale Charley Roper held a reunion on March 2 in honor of the returned service men of the family. The veterans were Charley and Cornell Smith, who served in the navy, Charley IS months and Cornell 3S months, I sons of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith; Leland J. Roper, who served in the army 'MS moiil hs, son of Mr. and Mrs. I, eland Roper. Edwin L. Stuart Stu-art who served in the Coast guard .'!S months, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. 1. eland Koper; Cleon Sheriff, how served in the army -1 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sheriff. Sher-iff. All the family were present except ex-cept Oleen Smith, who is employed employ-ed bv the government in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. Dinner was served to 31, and were Mrs. Ann J. Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith, of Tieaver, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Roper of Oak City, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sheiriff, Lynn-dyl, Lynn-dyl, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkey of Provo, and the families of the couples. In the evening they attended the program and dance in honor of all returned servicemen of the Oak City ward. |
