Show Lynndyi . , Rachul bncpoo - Mrs. Neva Hardy and son Bart of Salt Lake and Vernal Ivie, who has just been discharged from his duties in the army, arrived Tuesday Tues-day to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie. Miss Betty Roundy returned from Escalante where she spent a pleasant plea-sant week visiting with her parents par-ents and friends. Mrs. Maurine Mills and two children chil-dren of Milford are spending a few days visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Banks. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Luke and daughter in law Leona spent the week end in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson were Provo visitors Wednesday. Ballard Dutson of Clearfield spent the week end visting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and family fam-ily spent the week end visiting in Milford. Friday Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Wiley Wi-ley spent the day in Nephi. Varley Dutson and children went to Richfield Friday, as he received word his father was seriously ill. Miss Nada Roper of Oak City spent the day visiting Mrs. Mary Smith and family. Each year everyone looks forward to Parents Day. A large crowd attended at-tended from Lynndyl and enjoyed the delicious dinner, classes, plays and wonderful music. Some went early and stayed late, but all in all it was a most enjoyable day. The ones from Lynndyl who took part in the play were Mrs. Tressa Terry, Vernon Gronning, Wavie Roundy, Mrs. Eleanor Nielson was chosen for the vice president and Tressa Terry for one of the cheer leaders. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lovell of Clearfield are visiting with Mrs. Myron Vest, who has been quite ill. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Roper and family of Provo are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kirt Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wildie, Ranee Ran-ee and Ladd of Provo are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Mart Sheriff and Mrs. Anna Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Twitchell have returned from a visit to Salt Lake. Mr. Twitchell spent a few days in Green River, Wyo., with his family. They will spend the remainder re-mainder of their vacation in Salt Lake City. Jimmie Smith went to Salt Lake City for a few days to see his small son, Carl Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rothy and his brother and wife of Pittsburg, Penn came down from Ogden and spent Saturday and Sunday visiting Bill Simpson. Mr. Rothy and Bill were buddies all during the war. Mrs. Fern Johnson and daughter, Carma, of Deseret, are visiting her son here. Mrs. Eleanor Nielson entertained entertain-ed the Primary Sunday evening, the teachers and officers training meeting. Florence Woodbury gave the topic. Light refreshments were served to the following Kate Hayes Effie Allen, Jennie Huddleston, May Smith, Hazel Sheriff, Rosalee Banks, Erma Roper, Lucile Johnson, John-son, Eunice Nielson and Maurine Miller, of Milford. Eddie Dutson is now working & employed by the U. P. railroad. Tuesday night the program for mutual was under the direction 6f Lewis Woodbury, music director, The life of George Careless was told and his songs were sung. An ineresting basketball game was played fater the program, between be-tween the senior scouts and the "Stiffs." The score was 44 to 43, in favor of the Stiffs, which they earned because they paid for it the next day. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Terry received receiv-ed word from their son, Farrell, and his wife, that they were in New Orleans enjoying the Mardi Gras. They are both attending the Tulane university this fall. Their other son, Bruce, is attending vocational vo-cational training at West high in Salt Lake City and taking air conditioning con-ditioning and refrigeration. Mrs. Mae Miller received a beautiful beau-tiful orchid from her husband from Honolulu for her birthday. Les Haycock arrived Saturday to spend a few days visiting with his family. He is working in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. George Preston left for Los Angeles Tuesday where they will visit their family. Pfc. Arnell Dutson and Melba Bentley of Salt Lake City, who were recently married in Salt Lake will be given a wedding dance in Oak City Monday, March 11. All are invited. |
