Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Lambert are home after having spent the winter in Nebraska. Nebras-ka. But best of all we found out where Johnny Nutsch is. You see about three months ago John went away to attend to business bus-iness of the estate and he's never come back. Spring here. Bulldozing Bulldoz-ing to be done. Tax returns to file. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Brumley have eturned to Sutherland and are liv-;ng liv-;ng in the home west of Brose Roberts. Wayne Tippetts and family have returned to Springville, their former for-mer home. Mr. and Mrs. Oz Johnson drove '0 San Francisco on the 24th of February, where they met Mrs. lohnson's sister in law, Mrs. R. E. Sorenson and small son from Honolulu. Hon-olulu. The Sorensons lived in Honolulu Hon-olulu before the Pearl Harbor raid. So the two year old Paul finds things at the Johnson farm very interesting. The Sorenson's wiil visit here some time and then visit vis-it Mrs. Sorenson's parents in Beaver. Bea-ver. Flora May recently made a trip to Logan in the interest of 4-H Club work. She went with Miss Gormley, the county 4-H worker. Belva Jones is home from the hospital and improving nicely. Lena Le-na Steele was in the Delta hospital hospi-tal last week for check up and for treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Shurtz, Mrs. Vivian Clark, Mrs. Norma Meinhardt, Mrs. Victor Jensen, and Verla Barben are all recent Salt Lake visitors. Miss Katherine Hersleff of Kearns spent her birthday (Feb. 24) visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hersleff. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Holman and "Wally" have returned from a three weeks visit in southern California. Grant Barben and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Schaffner were recent visitors visit-ors at the George Jensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Sid Clark entertained entertain-ed at Sunday dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Garcher, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Clark. Mrs. Selia Jensen Terry of Mt. Pleasant was a recent visitor at her mother's home, Mrs. Tressa Jensen's. Friday March 1 Mrs. DeLapp, Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Wilcox entertained en-tertained the JS Club at the hall. The dance sponsored by the club the following Saturday evening was a success. This Saturday, on Mar 9 there will be a pot luck supper and cards in honor of Mr. Maly and Mrs. Kimber, who are moving away soon. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Ed Price of Cedar City visited with the Thorntons. Tho-rntons. Mr. Thornton returned to Cedar with them for about two weeks. Rex has gone to Snake Valley where he has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Kimball Johansen arrived in Sutherland Wednesday, Feb. 27.Saturday evening the Sutherland Suth-erland ward gave a party in honor of brother and sister Johanson, who are soon leaving for a mission for the L D S church in northern California. They entered the mission mis-sion home in Salt Lake City Monday Mon-day morning. While here Mr. and Johansen and Charles Jensen visited vis-ited in Mt. Pleasant for .-the home coming day, which is an annual affair for Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Porter made a trip to Salt Lake City Monday, and returned re-turned Tuesday. They drove up with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gardner Gard-ner of Delta. Gordon Moody is home from his winter quarter's work at the U of U. Dale Johnson is home from the B A C. Kenneth Porter of the BAC visited over the week end. Era-morett Era-morett Skidmore is home from Salt Lake City for a visit, where she is taking cadet nursing training. train-ing. Milo Mortensen held a birthday party on Sunday for Carolyn. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Chamberlain visited at the Wm. Walker home Saturday and Sunday. Grandmother Grandmo-ther Bunker returned to Salt Lake with them for an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Johansen visited in Ogden Thursday to Monday Mon-day of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jensen and family visited in Salt Lake City. Deseret ward is bringing over a 3-act play to Sutherland ward for Thursday evening. This is a budget bud-get play and everyone is invited. The play is '"A Stranger Passes." NaRae and Norma Erickson returned re-turned from California on Sunday where they have been for a visit. Wm. Walker made a trip to Los Angles with beef cattle this week. Roy Smith is the wise guy. He bet $5 with Wm. he wouldn't get so much and with another guy that Wm. would get so much, so eother way Roy has his $5. Clarion Markham was a recent visitor at the Bunker homes. Tanelta told me most of this, so she should be the signer and not Jay Bea. |
