Smith and family of Salt Lake Cily, an? visiting their pai-enls, M-S liaiid Stevens. Last week M-S Karl Workman took their family for a trip. They went to Ilurrjrane, where a cousin Mrs. Mamie Hinlon. accompanied them. They visited Zions, through the Kaibab forest, to Grand Canyon, Can-yon, then on the Pheonix. Here they went 0:1 a tour of the temple grounds and beauty spots of that city. They returned Wednesday. M-S G. A. Kobison of Salt Lake were in Hinckley Saturday visiting relatives and friends. M-S William Lewis, of Kamas, arrived in town Sunday to see their brothers and sister and also their mother, Mrs. Hannah D. Blake. They were on their way from Arizona where they had been to get their son, Morgan, who is in the navy and had been gone two years. M-S Karl Swenson of Hill Field are sepnding their vacation with their parents, M-S Randall Swen son. M-S Arnold Hecker and Miss Helen Bishop spent last week in Sf-'rling with relatives. On tiie way over a deer came down to the side of the road and the fellows got it for President Morris. Just a few minutes and it was dressed and ready for him to pick up on the way back. It must have known he was too busy to take time to go hunting. Last Friday Hinckley won from Millord in a football game, the score being 42 to G in favor of Hinckley. Tuesday the girls of HHS played play-ed Fillmore in a Softball game. The score was 26 to 20 in favor of Hinckley. The Hinckley high school Victory Vic-tory War Bond drive starts next week. The quota is $16DU for the school. Mrs. Mary Abbott spent the weekend in Cedar City with her sisters, Miss Jean Stewart and Mrs. Delna Arthur. Mrs. D. E. Bishop of Tooele and Ben J. Bishop of Salt Lake were in town this week. Sunday night at the Navy Day program Reed Stewart and Oswald Johnson were the speakers with special music by the choir. At union meeting Sunday Beryl Bennion was sustained as a member mem-ber of the Relief Society Stake Board. Gerald Billings was ordained ordain-ed a high priest. Boyd Hilton and Miss Betty Grace Earney came from Salt Lake City to spend the day. The Hinckley Rook Club met at the home of Mrs. Erma Cropper Wednesday.
