Joan Barnes was here with them, returning to Salt Lake City when they did. Mrs.. Emma Nielson Niel-son also came to Hinckley with Marlow, and is now visiting with Mrs. Evelyn Morris and plans to visit next week with Lafe and Mel-ba Mel-ba Nielson. Visiting now with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Reeve is their grandson, Rexie, the son of Rex Reeve ol Salt Lake City. Gary Whittacker, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Western has returned to his home after spending spend-ing a month with his grandpar. ents. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ekins and family plan to spend a few days in Cedar Cily this week when Mr Ekins takes his sheep to the hills Saturday night Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Bishop returned from Cedai City with their infant son. The baby has been ill, and was taken back to Cedar City for treatment He is reported now as doing fine On Tuesday, June 18th the body of George Campbell, 87 of Hurricane Hur-ricane was brought to the Hinckle cemetary for burial. The Campbell family lived in Hinckley, moving away 46 years ago, six months after the death of the former Mrs George Campbell.. It was the request re-quest of the deceased that he be buried here. Accompanying the body was s small group of relatives of the Campbell family, including the present Mrs. George Campbell Sr.; Mr. and Mrs. George Campbell Jr.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Campbell George and Joseph being sons, and three daughters, Mrs. John Spendlove, Spend-love, Mrs. Lottie Loveless, and Mrs Stella Petty. John Spendlove was with the group and there were several sev-eral grandchildren of the deceased present. The grave was prepared for burial bur-ial by Mr. Jotm Ed Wright, Mr Charles Stratton and Mr. Ed Humphries. Hum-phries. The grave was dedicated b Patriarch C. R. Woodbury. Luncr, was served to the members of the group at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Stratton and Mr. and Mrs Humphries. George Ekins, superintendent ol the Y. M. M. I. A. has chosen as his councilors Mr. Lowell Petersen and Mr. Raymond Finlinson. Mr. and Mrs. John Ed Wrighl made a trip to Salt Lake last week for the purpose of having Mr Wright's eyes examined. He is ir need of an operation for removal of a cataract, but was unable tc get an appointment until next fall Last week Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper were in Salt Lake where Ladd had home work done on his teeth. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Pratt were visited last week by Mr. Pratts oarents, Mr. and Mrs. Johansen oi Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Talbot are living in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Theobald which was formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Love. Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Stewart entertained en-tertained at an outdoor party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Stewart, who visited here last week. Present were the guests of honor, the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Max Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Pearson Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Talbot, Tal-bot, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Carter. Mrs. George Ekins entertained the Rook Club last Wednesday. A delicious lunch was served to; Manon Robison, Thora Petersen, Helen Shurtliff, Nina Mecham, Roma Ekins, Valeda Hilton, Belva Morris, Harriet Spendlove,, Beulah Black, Margaret Jensen, Ruth Talbot, Tal-bot, Bertha Love, Dana Bishop, Arvilla Swensen and Ruth Peterson. High score prize was won by Man-on Man-on Robison, second prize by Thora Petersen and guest prize by Helen Shurtliff. Mrs. June Adams and three children child-ren of Provo have been visiting this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs.. Lynn Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Crowther are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Talbot this week. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Swanger were Provo visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Pratt, Mrs. Thora Petersen and Mrs. Julia Bliss were among those to attend Primarv and M. I. A. conference in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Dana Pratt are spending the summer in Provo, where Mr. Pratt is attending summer sum-mer school. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ekins entertained en-tertained the Older teen-age group at Fireside Chat on Sunday evening even-ing at their home. Grant Pratt was the speaker of the evening, giving a talk on Greece. Refreshments were served after the lecture to-Melvin to-Melvin Hepworth, Rozella Keller, Betty Hardy, Grant Pratt, Cheryl Reeve, Meldon Mcintosh lone Hilton, Hil-ton, Dorthela Bishop, Wayne Blake, Boyd Hilton, Carol Moody, Ruth Petersen, Glenda Cropper, Wendell Shurtliff, Rachel Knight, Lawrence Spar, Beatrice Taylor and Raina Bishop. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Reeve entertained the younger group in their home on Sunday evening, at Fireside Chat, where an evening of enjoyment was spent by the group, refreshments being served too. Mrs Rose Nielson is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Mary Lee. Word has been received by relatives rela-tives in Hinckley of the death of John A. Spendlove, who was a former for-mer resident of Abraham. The family fam-ily now lives in Provo. Burial was Tuesday in the Provo cemetary. Mr.. Spendlove is the father of Jim Spendlove, who used to teach school in the Millard Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Bishop have as their visitors this month Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Binham, Mrs, Bishop's mother and Mrs. Virginia Smith and her daughter all or Spokane, Washington. Mrs. Smith is a sister of Mrs. Bishop's. Mrs. Binham has been here taking care of Mrs. Bishop's family during her illness since the baby was born. Mr. and Mrs. Max Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Nate Abbott and their father, Mr. E. L. Abbott of Berkeley, California, motored to Lehi Wednesday Wed-nesday to attend the funeral of Mr. Perry Abbott. Mr. E. L. Abbott also |
