State Closes Fishing Along Sevier River The State Fish and Game Commission Com-mission has closed all types of fishing fish-ing along the Sevier River and its tributaries from the U. B. Dam to the Sevier Lake sinks. The fishing will remain closed until June 1, 1944. The action was taken to protect the new plantings of fish which are to be placed in the river this spring, They propose to plant heavily with catfish and possibly other species such as German brown trout. This will affect the opening date of the bass fishing which has in the past been May 15. The opening open-ing of the bass season will also be held up until June 1.
