Show Ensign Dale F. Johnson Home on Furlough Ensign Dale F. Johnson, son of Lynn Johnson spent three days here this week on a short furlough. Dale has been stationed in the SW Pacific on patrol duly, but was recently re-cently transferred to the Atlantic. Raymond Jacobson, one of the Merchant Marines, home on furlough fur-lough and Miss Maxine Bliss of Hinckley were married in the Salt Lake temple, Wednesday February 2. This is a surprise to their many friends and all join in wishing them happiness. . Merlin Sampson and Verue Theobald; Theo-bald; both in the service, report that they met in the SW Pacific unexpectedly. Capt. M. M. Reeves, son-in-law of the publisher sent a copy of The Stars and Stripes., of Nov. 6. 1913, published by the armed forces in Algiers, Africa. "Contents passed by the U. S. Censorship." Price two francs. This is the first copy of that interesting and newsy paper I had seen. |
