Mrs. l.eona D:ly went to Salt -V v Lake City Saturday to meet her son, Rex Daly, who was going thru on his ay to Va-:him;to!i, D. C. with his wife.. They visited in Tooele with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Daly, who later came to Delta for a few days visit. Their mother returned re-turned Tuesday after a visit in A-merican A-merican Fork and Prove. Mrs. Clark McCullough. w ho was operated on in a Salt Lake hospital, hospi-tal, has recovered sufficiently lo leave the hospital and is with Mrs. Alta Jamison for a short time before be-fore returning to Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Orton from Panguitch are in Delta this week visiting with their son Dee and family. They will go on to California Cali-fornia for a two-months vacation. Mr. and Mrs. James Sampson, of . Deseret, and Miss Opal Jean Watson, Wat-son, of Delta, made a trip to Salt Lake City the first part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Stapley, daughter. John, Mr. and Mrs. .M. M. Stapley. and Frank S. Beck-with, Beck-with, spent the weekend in southern south-ern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Stapley Stap-ley visited their son, Elton, and family in Cedar City and also relatives rela-tives in Hurricane. The others went on to St. George to visit Mr. and Mrs. Jay Tolnum. Saturday the three men went to Lake Mead to fish for bass, but without much success. They all returned Sunday night and encountered a very severe blizzard which ranged from south of Beaver, to north of Dog Valey. Mrs. Grant Seeley returned to Delta Tuesday, and will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Walch. Mrs. Seeley has been in the east with her husband, Capt. Seeley, who is now being transferred to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. liobert Davenport and two children are visiting in Delta. Their home is in Mississippi, when1 they will return in about. 2 weeks. Miss Elmn Terry visited over j Sunday w ith her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Snow, of St. George, and their two sons, spent the week end in Delta with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. li. L. Turner. Mr. and Mrs. Snow also 1 ,.i.uu' a short trip lo Salt Lake City leaving the boys here to visit. J Tin1 Delta first ward relief society so-ciety bazaar will he held April 31 in the chapel. Dinner will be served serv-ed from 7 to S:.'iU. A program and sale af articles will follow. Everyone Every-one invited. Julian Kastnusen made a trip to Salt Lake City Thursday, and returned re-turned Friday on the air-liner. ! Dunne Anderson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Anderson, of Fillmore Fill-more and his fiancee, Miss Helen Brooks, of St. George t visited here i during the week. Dunne was with I the army three years overseas, and is now discharged. His two brothers broth-ers are still stationed in Japan, a-bout a-bout oo minutes travel time apart. Mr. and Mrs. Oak Dutson and Glen Ilortin left Delta Tuesday to drive to California. They will slay about ten days, and bring back Mrs. Ilortin, who has been there for medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Huffine have returned from a visit to Los Angeles. An-geles. Their daughter, Mrs. Genne rtessick and her daughter, Linda, returned with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Riding and Jay Cash, from Springville, spent the week end here, and drove Mrs. Cash, who had been visiting here, back with them. Mrs. Frances Tolhert is visiting in the northwest with her family there. Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Pearson are now' making their home in Palo AHo. Cal., after visiting in Utah after Mr. Pearson's release from the navy, and in Delta with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Pearson. Pear-son. Mr.. Pearson entered Stanford Stan-ford in Januaary, to study in the school of law. Ralph Creed, Van Bicshop, Marion Mar-ion Dillonbeck, Carl Warner and Wallie Church, of D. Stevens & Co. re in Salt Lake this week to purchase pur-chase new equipment to be put in the store. Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby drove to Pleasant Grove Saturday to attend at-tend the funeral services "for Joseph Jos-eph H. Page. New shipment of 3-piece suits at Mabels. I |
