Show Opal Jean Watson Reigns at Gold & Green Ball " Miss Opal Jean Watson of Delta second ward is crowned queen of I he Gold and Green Ball for Deseret Des-eret stake, at the dance on Wednesday Wed-nesday night, March 20. Denise Great house, Merodean Peterson, Pe-terson, Ramone Finlinson, ward queens, and Darlene McCulluogh and Carol Curtis, color bearers. Seated before the queen are Duane Jackson, Sharon Roberts, Venna Walker, and LeRay Jackson. The Ball was held in the Delta hall, with a mammoth crowd attending. at-tending. The floor show was o-pened o-pened at 10:30, with the queens from the warrls in parade, preceded pre-ceded by the color hearers and the tiny flower girls and flower and crown bearers. Each queen was given a corsage, one of which contained con-tained the lucky number "one" which lot fell to Miss Watson. The queen was crowned by M. ai d Moody. Ilie floor show was given in front of the queen and her attendants, attend-ants, and was a program of dances oklfashioned, interpretive and waltzes, wal-tzes, given by all the wards, under the direction of Nedra Robison and L. Nielsen Clark. The color scheme of green and gold was used in the attractive decorations, with a bower for the queen and her court, and for the orchestra, which was from Provo. |
