Show LYNNM9YL Mrs. R Simpson Mrs. Jean Jerlers entertained at , dinner Friday evening, in honor of Mrs. Mae Miller Billy, Effie Allen, Ruby, Loraine and George Wheeling, Wheel-ing, of Rockwood Penn. Emily and Glen Elder, of Delta, visited with Jim Smith and family, Thursday. Mrs. Rachel Simpson, Jay and Janeane, Mrs. Norma Mayers and Steven, drove to Salt Lake Saturday, Satur-day, and visited with Mrs. Francis Pfeefer, and enjoyed a birthday dinner for Neil Sleven. They are leaving for Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Wyom-ing, Monday, to make their home. Jerome Ivie and Harold, Bud Ogden, Og-den, Grant Wall and Harry McCar-dell, McCar-dell, went to Kanosh, Saturday, for a pheasant hunt, and were very successful. Tuesday evenig Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen had as their dinner din-ner guests, Bill Jeffers, Jean Jef-fers, Jef-fers, Mrs. Gaven Wier, Mae Miller, Billy, Loraine and George Wheeling. Wheel-ing. Mrs. Mae Miller and Billy, Loraine Lor-aine and George Wheeling, left, Sunday morning, for San Francisco, where they are going to make their home. Mrs. Joe Pargis returned from Salt Lake City, after visiting for a couple of days. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Twitchell are now living in Jerry Nielson's home, since Sid Searie moved to Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Don James are moving mov-ing from Beaver, and will occupy the Hilda Clark home. Don is now working as switchman here. Sammy Vest has purchased Mrs. Georgia Phelps home. Mrs. Phelps stopped over here for a few days on her way home to Calente. She had been visiting in Toledo, Ohio. Louise Wiley has been quite ill for a week with an infected tooth. Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot and Mrs. Clark Talbot, took Clark to Fillmore, Wednesday evening, to catch a bus to San Francisco, where he will return to duty for fourteen more months. His wife will remain here with Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot, Tal-bot, until his release. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roundy, Betty and Waivie Roundy, were called to Escelante, where they will attend at-tend the funeral of their brother, Bud Roundy, and cousin, who were killed in a car accident. The accident ac-cident occured on Betty's birthday. All their friends wish to express their deepest sympathy. Miss Gladys and Jeanette Over-son Over-son went to Salt Lake for medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Smith are very happy over the arrival of a baby girl, born, November 2. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Sheriff are very happy to have their daughter, Nadine, home for a month. She is employed by the government in Washington D. C. Those attending the M. I. A. Conference, Con-ference, held in Fillmore, Sunday, November 3, were; Royal Terry, Earl Greathouse, Darrel Whatcott, Mr. Jackson, Alpha Nielson, Phyil-lis Phyil-lis Nelson Eldonna Coleman, Gladys Glad-ys Banks, Colleen Nielson, Eleanor Nielson, Calla Ivie, Rhea Whatcott, Kay Akins, Tressa Terry and Lottie Lot-tie Gronning. The Relief Society was in charge of meeting Sunday evening, November Nov-ember 3, and gave the program as follows: Rhea Whatcott presided, Effie Sheriff conducted; Prayer by Brother Lile Johnson; Report and welcome address by president, Rhea Whatcdtt; sustaining officers Norean Shipley; piano, Erma Roper; Rop-er; short talks were given by Calla Ivie. Florence Woodbury, Gladys Banks, Bishop Clead Nielson and stake officer, Mrs. Killpack. Chorus by singing mothers, who are Alpha Nielson, Florence Woodbury, Mary Johnson Eleanor Nielson, Rhea Whatcott, Gladys Banks and Tressa Terry, accompanied by Erma Roper. Thursday evening the M. 1. A. gave a Hallowe'en dance. The hall was decorated in accord with witches wit-ches and many corresponding costumes. cos-tumes. Those who won prizes were; Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen and Eldonna El-donna Coleman, Shirley Johnson, of Provo, Kenneth Hayes, George Spencer, of Long Beach; Calif. A large crowd attended and it was decided that it was the best dance this season. Do-nuts and cider was served. The Primary officers and teachers teach-ers met Monday evening, at the church. Florence Woodbury gave the lesson, the subject being that of Thanksgiving. Cookies and hot chocolate was served to the following: follow-ing: Eleanor Nielson, Effie Allen, Florence Woodbury, Kate Hayes, Erma Roper, Hazel Sheriff, Margie and Leda Greathouse, Lucile Johnson John-son and Jennie Huddleston. ; Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielson were Salt Lake visitors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Haycock, have as their guests, Mr. Haycock's mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. George Spencer, of Long Beach Cal. They returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Gronning of Milford, visited here with the Myron Vests. Mrs. Hattie Johnson, of Sutherland, Suther-land, came up Monday night, to visit with her daughter, Mrs. Lile Johnson. Mrs. Tressa Terry, Jean Jeffers, Mary Smith and Adelia Coleman, enjoyed an evening of bridge Monday Mon-day night, at the Coleman home. Mrs. Coleman surprised them all by winning.' |
